“Fantastic service! My order was dispatched and delivered very quickly. The socks are fab!”
Remember being reprimanded for slouching in school? Frustrating and annoying at the time, training ourselves into good posture has long term health benefits - especially as more and more of us spend long hours sat at our desks.
In this week's #WednesdayWisdom Joseph Pilates encourages us to sit up straight to avoid compressing our lungs and overcrowding our other vital organs.
If you've got into bad habits with your posture, or just want to use pilates to help regain good posture, this workout video might be a help:
As Katie says:
"If you have been sitting all day then this the perfect remedy for poor posture. This short pilates workout targets the chest, upper back, shoulders and core. Good posture is not about sitting up straight, it is about moving well and creating balance in the body. By strengthening the muscles of the back and lengthening the muscles through the chest and neck, we allow the spine to reset and restore, open the chest and start to develop better posture."
Good posture is much more than sitting up straight at your desk - it's about correct movement and balance, something our whole body needs to be engaged in!
